Dr. Wagner directs the Developmental Language & Cognition Lab. She studies the connections between early language and early conceptual abilities.
Kristin is a doctoral student in the Applied Developmental Sciences in Education program. She is conducting a capstone project looking at the influence of picture book genre on parent-child reading interactions
Kayla is a senior Psychology student with a minor in Spanish. Her research interests include early childhood development and emergent literacy, as well as the impact of context and culture on communication. She is currently working on a project investigating children’s understanding of illustrations and text in picture books.
Alejandra is a second year English and Psychology major at Ohio State. She is currently working on a research project that has to do with psychological distance and the way that children make categories. In addition to doing research in the Language Lab, Alejandra is the outreach co-chair for the English Undergraduate Organization and is the Art Editor for Ohio State's literary magazine, Mosaic.
Faith Stagge is a Speech and Hearing Science Major working on a project investigating children's understanding of politeness.
Sheila is a junior majoring in Linguistics with minors in Globalization Studies and History.
Courtney Elliott is a senior at OSU majoring in Psychology and minoring in Speech and Hearing Science. After she graduates, she plans to go to grad school to become a Speech Therapist or Psychologist. She is a member of Chi Omega Zeta Alpha at Ohio State as well. She loves to workout, spend time with her friends/sisters, and her family. She is planning on getting a service puppy from Freedom Paws Assistance Dogs to raise with the intention of becoming a Diabetic Alert Dog.
